Join us for Havdalah followed by the film and discussion.
James Baldwin, one of the luminaries of the U.S. Civil Rights movement, was an out bisexual Black man, speaker, writer, and movement organizer. “I Am Not Your Negro” shows how much of his gentle challenge remains unmet by good white people striving to do right. We’ll use this film, showcasing Baldwin’s wisdom and generosity, as a springboard for continuing our shared conversations about racial justice.
